Lagrein is a variety native to South Tyrol on the Italian/Austrian border. This wine is deep purple in colour with flavours of ripe cherries and dark chocolate. Firm tannins and great natural acidity make Lagrein a wine that will reward cellaring. This wine pairs beautifully with beef, hard cheese and dark chocolate, making it a great, hearty choice for wintery nights spent by the fire. We are currently selling our 2017 vintage which is drinking well now, but will only get better with age.
