Happy New Year from all of us at Mount Towrong!
2019 was a year of hard work. We planted two small blocks of vines. A little more Prosecco and some Pinot Bianco, a new addition to the estate plantings... Give us another 4 years and we will have something to show for it!
Young Prosecco in the new vineyard
Now into the depths of summer with school holidays over and kids back to school, we can focus on the fine art of drinking lots of wine made from Italian Varietals! March will see the release of our 2019 Vivace. At the cellar door we have a small release of one of our back vintages, being the 2016 Giovanni. A co-fermented blend of Nebbiolo and Pinot Noir, wild ferment, unfiltered and unfined this minimal intervention wine will not last long with only 12 dozen left.

March will also see the release of the 2017 Lagrein. With 2 years bottle maturation this wine is drinking like a gem. A perfect match with a cheese plate at the Cellar Door. The 2018 Prosecco will be all gone by the end of February so drop in for a bottle if you are partial to this fine dry sparkling!
We hope to see you at the Cellar Door soon.
Salute!
